Market dates are: April 25 (Farmers’ Market Plant Sale); May 2; May 9; May 16;
May 23; and May 30 or until we sell out for the season.

Pick up at the farm may also be arranged by contacting us to arrange a
pick up date and time.

We will likely have plants available at the market that are not on our website, especially those that we have in limited quantity. Our selection will vary from week to week.

Be sure to check our online store regularly as we will be adding new species to the website every week.

We grow around 14 different culinary herbs and annual flowers as well as 60 ecologically important native perennial species that are ideal for habitat restoration or transforming backyards into thriving wildlife habitats.

Please refer to our cultural guide to see which species we have available and what sorts of growing conditions they each prefer.

We offer forbs (flowers), grasses, and shrubs, the majority of which are native to southeastern Minnesota with a small number native to western Wisconsin and northern Iowa as well. We sometimes collect seed and cuttings from a few species of plants grown right here on the farm.

We carefully select species that support bees, butterflies, beneficial insects, and songbirds. We are committed to growing our plants without the use of persistent pesticides like pyrethroids, neonicotinoids, or other harmful chemicals.

We maintain a diverse selection of species suited to various soil moisture and light conditions. Whether you’re planting a dry prairie, a rain garden, or a shady woodland, there are natives that will thrive there. If site-appropriate plants are chosen, they require minimal upkeep once established, offering exceptional disease resistance and lower maintenance than many ornamental species. Furthermore, their deep roots help prevent soil erosion, reduce runoff, and sequester carbon.

Most of our native plants and herb seedlings come in 2.5″ wide by 3.5″ deep containers. Our annual flowers are sold in four-packs. Occasionally, we have second-year plants that are sold in larger pots.
